Tutorial was written on the 14th April 2008 N.B This tut is only a guide, you do NOT have to have the tubes, font ect to do this tut Please do not feel that the only way you can do this tut is by having everything I do because you don't. Just have fun!!! Supplies Needed Image of choice - I used an Image by Howard Robinson (http://www.howardrobinson.info/) Font of choice - I used Bank Gothic VM Extravaganza - Stay In Line Toadies - What are you?
Open your image of choice Image - Add Borders with these settings TOP and BOTTOM - 40 LEFT and RIGHT - 10 Symmetric unchecked COLOUR - pick a colour that isn't in your tag (doesn't matter what colour) Apply
Convert your image to raster Using your magic wand click inside the border New raster Right click on the border Paste your image as a new selection Back on the bottom layer - delete the colour border
Select the top layer Apply VM Extravaganza - Stay In Line with these settings
Deselect
Image - Canvas Size Width - 610 Height - 450
On your border layer Add the following dropshadow Vertical - 1 Horizontal - 1 Opacity - 50 Blur - 2
Apply the dropshadow again but chance the vertical and horizontal to -1
Still on your border layer Duplicate Effects - Plugins - Toadies What are you? (make sure you have two colours that go well with your tag set as foreground/background colours with these settings Overdose - 10
Add a new raster layer - move it so its the second layer/the layer just below your first border layer Select your selection tool - rectangle draw a thin strip for where your name will be Flood fill white - lower the opacity to about 68% Select none Hide the white strip and your image so you should have First border layer Second border layer Merge visible Duplicate and move to the top
Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 3
Effects - Texture - Weave with these settings Gap size - 2 Width - 10 Opacity - 20 Both Colours - White Fill Gaps - Checked
Change the blend mode to Overlay
Add your name and artist copyright Save! |
